the quotient of a number divided by itself is always 1...
with no exception to this rule...
x/x=1
_subtraction
finds the difference between two numbers...
the difference will be positive if the minuend is larger than the subtrahend, otherwise it's negative...
if they're equal it will be zero...
3-1=2
_multiplication
the multiplicative identity is 1... multiplying any number by 1 will yield that same number
1x3=3
_addition
the basic operation... adding, combining two or more numbers...
1+1+2=4
pretty boring_
